Fresh off last night's 7-1 defeat, Arizona State will be back in action looking to avoid the weekend sweep and earn a much-needed three points in the conference standings against the Denver Pioneers.

The bright spots were few and far between, but Bennett Schimek and Cullen Potter extended their point streaks in last night's loss, coming in tonight with three and four game streaks respectively.

A forgettable night for both goaltenders, if last week's trend holds the same, expect to see Connor Hasley getting the start in net tonight. Hasley came on in relief of Samuel Urban, giving up three goals on 13 shots after Urban gave up 4 goals on 20 shots in the first 27:36 of game time.

Frustration started to take over at the end of the game as 96 minutes in penalties were assessed in the final 5:50 of the game, seeing 8 skaters between both teams receive misconduct penalties for excessive roughing. Cooler heads should (hopefully) prevail but it's an underlying factor to watch for as the game starts.

How To Watch

The Sun Devils and Pioneers will start tonight's matinee at 5pm from Mullett Arena. Like last night, tonight's game will air in the Phoenix market on Fox 10 Xtra, offering a perfect multiview option with football starting at 6pm. NCHC.tv (subscription required) will also carry the game for national streaming. Tyler Paley and Alex Coil will grace the radio waves as always for Fox Sports 910 Phoenix.
