Former Arizona State running back Cam Skattebo was one of the biggest, if not the biggest, parts of the Sun Devils run in the College Football Playoff last season. Skattebo showed how physical a runner he is and made the game close between Arizona State and Texas, certainly making the Longhorns sweat.
After being a fourth-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, Skattebo was determined to make his mark on the New York Giants, along with fellow rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart. Well, in Week 6, the duo has officially shown they are here and they are staying.
In the Giants' second primetime game this season on Thursday Night Football, Dart was set to make his third start of the season, and it was one this franchise won't forget for a while. The Giants took on the reigning Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles, who were coming off their first loss of the season in Week 5.
Clearly, Dart and Skattebo didn't care who they were facing as the Giants took down the Eagles 34-17 in a game where the two rookies were the highlight and people weren't even thinking about the reigning NFL Offensive Player of the Year, Saquon Barkley.
Skattebo finished the night with 19 carries for 98 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns, and even added two receptions for 12 yards to make it a total of 110 total yards on the night.

Skattebo had made headlines in the NFL for his physical running style of simply barreling into defenders, often headfirst, and taking them out while still getting a couple extra yards. Skattebo's energy on and off the field has also made headlines, with his crazy behavior and just not caring what anyone thinks.
In six games this season, Skattebo is third amongst rookie running backs with 82 carries for 338 rushing yards and five rushing touchdowns. The duo of Dart and Skattebo seems like they are just getting started.
