It's finally Homecoming week at Arizona State. The football program enjoyed a bye week after escaping with a massive road victory over Iowa State without star quarterback Sam Leavitt and top wideout Jordyn Tyson. Now, the Sun Devils will return to action with a Big 12 basement dweller coming to town.
The West Virginia Mountaineers, led by former Arizona head coach Rich Rodriguez, started their year disappointingly but are currently on a two-game winning streak. They'll be looking to play spoiler to ASU's long shot bid to retain its 2024 Big 12 crown and set themselves up for surprising bowl eligibility over the final two weeks of the season.
Leavitt has been ruled out for the remainder of the year after undergoing Lisfranc surgery on his foot, and Tyson remains sidelined for the time being. Head coach Kenny Dillingham will have to make due with a similar roster to what he had in Ames two weeks ago but the return of Prince Dorbah on the defensive side may boost morale.
