It was just seven months ago that Arizona State officially joined the Big 12, leaving the Pac 12 after 46 years there. The Sun Devils have wasted no time in establishing their dominance in their new conference.

On Sunday, Arizona State captured the Big 12 championship titles for both their men's and women's swim and dive teams during the conference's Swimming and Diving Championship, hosted in Seattle. These two wins marked the university's third and fourth conference championships in their short time as members of the Big 12.

The very first Sun Devil program to do it was the volleyball team. Over the extended Thanksgiving weekend, Sun Devil volleyball clinched the conference title before they had even finished their regular season slate, the first time the program had ever done so.

Just a few weeks later, the football team did the same thing. Finishing with the top record in the conference after infamously being picked to finish last, Kenny Dillingham's team ventured to Dallas to take on Iowa State. They crushed the Cyclones 45-19 to capture their first conference championship since 1996, and punched their ticket to the College Football Playoff in the process.

Now comes the most recent conference titles, and they were won in dominant fashion just as the football team did so. The men's team won by a final margin of 611 points, while the women's team won by 455 points. Not only did they win, but they cruised to a conference title.

Of course, Arizona State isn't the only new member of the Big 12. They joined the conference at the same time as Arizona, Colorado, and Utah - known collectively as the Four Corners Schools - and just a year prior to that, the Big 12 added BYU, Cincinnati, Houston, and UCF.

Between all eight of those schools, Arizona State now leads the pack with their four conference titles. BYU and Houston are behind them, with three and two, respectively. Colorado technically has 31 titles, but all of those came from their previous stint in the conference, and they have not won since rejoining the Big 12 this past year.

Ironically, the football program is just one more conference championship game victory away from tying Kansas State for most conference championships among current Big 12 schools. In the three other sports - volleyball, men's swim and dive, and women's swim and dive - Arizona State already has the lead for most conference titles among active members.

While it seems unlikely that the Sun Devils will add to this list next week, when both men's and women's basketball conference tournaments begin, this is still a great start to the new era of Sun Devil athletics.

It's also a feather in the cap of athletics director Graham Rossini. Prior to his promotion to the AD role, Rossini had been the administrator for volleyball, among other sports, and made the decision to hire current coach and Big 12 champion JJ Van Niel. He was also present for the swim and dive championships, which earned him praise to go on top of all the conference titles.
