It was an eventful week for the Sun Devils. They won their season opener, albeit in a sloppy 38-19 victory over the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks. They also set an attendance record at the game, but ESPN+ streaming issues prevented most fans from being able to watch it.
Now, Arizona State has dropped a spot in the Top 25 as they prepare for a road trip out east to face Mississippi State. These two teams dueled a year ago in Tempe, and the Sun Devils gutted out a 30-23 win. It marked the program's first ever win over an SEC school, but now they have to do it on the road.
Can they pull it off? Is Jordyn Tyson ready for a repeat of last week's dominance, or will Sam Leavitt look to spread the ball around more? Can the defefense put forth a better effort than they did against the Lumberjacks?
