The Pro Football Hall of Fame has announced its list of 15 modern era finalists that will be considered for enshrinement as part of the class of 2026. Among them are two Sun Devil legends that have been here before.
Pass rusher Terrell Owens and safety Darren Woodson will make another attempt at becoming Hall of Famers after being snubbed last season. Fellow Sun Devil great Eric Allen was inducted as part of the four-member class in 2025.
Suggs and Woodson will have some stiff competition again this year with elite performers like Drew Brees, Larry Fitzgerald and hotly debated candidates like Eli Manning up for induction too.
Terrell Suggs, Darren Woodson hope to add to Arizona State's Hall of Fame legacy
Allen was ASU's sixth Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee. Suggs and Woodson appear to be on track to make it eight someday but they'll be hoping that day comes in early 2026.
Suggs (2000-02) still owns the career and single-season school records for most tackles-for-a-loss, and set the NCAA record for most sacks in a season with 24 in 2002. He went on to be selected 10th overall by the Baltimore Ravens in 2003 where he earned Defensive Player of the Year honors in 2011 and then won Super Bowl XLVII the following season.

Woodson (1988-91) was a walk-on in Tempe his freshman year but he quickly impressed, becoming a team captain in his senior year. After being selected in the second round of the 1992 draft by the Dallas Cowboys, Woodson won three Super Bowl titles with "America's Team." He was a five-time Pro Bowler and earned first-team All-Pro honors on three separate occasions.
Blessed and grateful to be a Pro Football Hall of Fame finalist. Thankful for every person who walked this journey with me. https://t.co/Pa6jVw5YMq

There is no limit to how many players may be inducted in a class from the list of finalists but each inductee must reach the 80 percent vote threshold. With a 50-member committee, both would need to sway at least 40 votes to get in.
