The Arizona State Sun Devils (16-2, 3-2 Big 12) headed to Fort Worth to face Olivia Miles and the No. 13-ranked TCU Horned Frogs (16-1, 4-1 Big 12) on the road on Sunday,

The result for the Sun Devils: a loss to the Horned Frogs in a blowout with a final score of 77-46, which was Arizona State's lowest in total points scored so far this season.

“You’re never beating this team when you score 46 points,” Arizona State head coach Molly Miller said postgame.

The game began with forward Heloisa Carrera, who was unstoppable against the UCF Knights on Wednesday, getting in foul trouble by picking up two personal fouls in the first quarter.

That changed the trajectory of the game for the Sun Devils as she was limited to six points, shooting 3-for-7 from the field, and played 21 minutes on the court.

The Horned Frogs' offense was fully engaged throughout the game, led by guard Olivia Miles, who had another productive game for the team. She scored 22 points while shooting 9-for-15 from the field, grabbed five rebounds, and dished out six assists.

TCU also had advantages in outscoring Arizona State in points in the paint (42-16), bench points (22-12), and three-pointers made (nine three-pointers for the Horned Frogs compared to Arizona State's three three-pointers).

Additionally, the Sun Devils' backcourt of guards Last-Tear Poa and Marley Washenitz was limited to just two combined points.

Washenitz was held scoreless and picked up five personal fouls, while Poa's passing was desperately missed for Arizona State as she finished with zero assists.

Give credit to TCU head coach Mark Campbell and the Horned Frogs for giving the Sun Devils many nightmares throughout the game.

“Coach Miller is doing a phenomenal job," Campbell said of Miller. "I don’t think people understand how impressive it is what they’re doing.”

Miller and the squad experienced growing pains on both ends of the court, just over a week after snapping its 15-win streak on the road against the BYU Cougars.

The team's identity was known for its tenacious defense and powerful offense since the start of the season.

The only bright spot for Arizona State was guard Gabby Elliott leading the way, recording 19 points, three three-pointers made, seven rebounds, two assists, and three steals.

The Sun Devils will have five days to prepare to face the Kansas Jayhawks (11-6, 1-4 Big 12) at home on Saturday.
