It's been 196 days since the Sun Devils have taken to the ice, but we are officially back, and couldn't ask for a bigger stage to start the season than against the No. 5 ranked Penn State Nittany Lions.
Coming off their first Frozen Four appearance in program history, Penn State is hoping that newcomer Gavin McKenna will be able to lead them to the promised land and deliver a national championship, but the deep squad assembled by head coach Greg Powers, now in his 11th season at the Division 1 level and 18th overall with the Sun Devils, will look to show that they are up to the task of stopping this elite team.

Tonight's game will be a 7pm puck drop, with tomorrow night's coming slightly earlier at 5pm. The big news came down this week that NHL Network has picked up both games for a national audience, in addition to local broadcasts on Fox 10 on Friday and Fox 10 Xtra on Saturday. NCHC.tv is the streaming home for both games, and for the global audience, both games will be streamed on the NHL's YouTube channel.
Tyler Paley and Alex Coil return for the 4th year as the radio play-by play and color commentary voices of the Sun Devils, having the call both nights on Fox Sports 910 Phoenix.
