Much like the annual Madden player rankings, EA Sports' College Football player ratings is quickly becoming a highly anticipated debate topic for fans across the country.
No Sun Devil reached the Top 10 for the inaugural ratings for the series rebirth, nor did the game's designers show any love for the overall offense or defense. Last season's impressive run to the Peach Bowl has changed all that for this year's edition.

Jordyn Tyson cracked the Top 10 offensive player list at No. 4 overall, rated as the No. 3 wide receiver for College Football 26 with a 94 OVR rating. Tyson was the favorite target for QB Sam Leavitt last season, hauling in 75 catches for 1101 yards and 10 touchdowns in 12 games before missing the Big 12 championship game and Peach Bowl due to a collarbone injury suffered in the second half of the Territorial Cup game in Tucson last November.
Nevertheless, Tyson's production accounted for 32% of the team's receptions and 31.4% of the team's receiving yards, and he was deservedly named the Big 12 Newcomer of the Year for his efforts. After being 100% cleared for spring practices and named to this season's Pat Tillman Leadership Council, Jordyn has extra motivation to follow up his breakout 2024 season.

It's only fitting that Tyson's gunslinging quarterback enters this season with high ratings as well. Sam Leavitt was the third leg in last year's offensive juggernaut alongside Tyson and Cam Skattebo, bursting on to the scene with an impressive freshman season after transferring in from Michigan State.
Completing nearly 62% of his passes (231-of-373) and throwing 28 touchdown passes against just 6 interceptions, Sam was named the Big 12 Offensive Freshman of the Year. Earning himself a 91 OVR rating for College Football 26, the bar is set to add more highlights like Sun Devil fans grew accustomed to seeing all throughout the 2024 season.
College Football 26 releases on July 10th for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Pre-orders are still available, and fans who order the Deluxe Edition or MVP Bundle will be granted early access on July 7th, along with a number of in-game bonuses.
