The football season is getting closer with each passing day, and Arizona State is coming into the new year with perhaps their highest expectations in a decade. That's thanks in large part to the dynamic duo of quarterback Sam Leavitt and wide receiver Jordyn Tyson, both of whom were named to the Walter Camp Preseason All-American second team on Monday.

It's a major distinction for the two rising stars, though it's hardly surprising. Leavitt ended last year on a hot streak after experiencing some growing pains early in his first year as a starter. Tyson, meanwhile, was set to lead the Big 12 in nearly every receiving metric before an injury ended his season early.

Now, the two return to Tempe looking to light the college football world on fire. They know the pressure will be on, given how much of last year's offense was built around recent draft pick Cam Skattebo, but Leavitt and Tyson are up to the task.

The Sun Devils are likely to have more than just these two on the Big 12's preseason all conference list, due out next week, but the fact that their two biggest names were included on such a prestigious list of the best players in the country is a pretty good omen for the new season.
