A Friday game means the injury report for Arizona State and TCU came a day earlier, giving fans an early opportunity to speculate on the health of both teams.

Arizona State

The Sun Devils will once again be without Jalen Moss. The transfer wide receiver returned to practice this week, but he was downgraded from "doubtful" to "out" while dealing with the illness that kept him out of last week's game at Baylor.

Xavion Alford was known to be out this week with the same undisclosed injury that sidelined him last week. Coach Dillingham has stated that this is a multi-week injury. Boogie Wilson will once again start in his place.

The secondary depth took another hit as safety Montana Warren remains out against TCU after missing last week's game against Baylor, with Kyndrich Breedlove and Kyan McDonald getting increased snaps in his place at the nickel position.

Defensive end Albert Smith was a surprising addition to the first injury report of the week; despite not being a starter, he has been an important piece of the defensive rotation. Linebacker Zyrus Fiaseu was downgraded from "questionable" to "out"; also not a starter but provided important depth with 12 tackles on the season and a key fumble recovery last week at Baylor.

TCU

The Horned Frogs list 19 players out as of Wednesday's updated injury report. Leading rusher Kevorian Barnes will miss his second straight game, giving more opportunities to backup running back Jeremy Payne. Leading placekicker Kyle Lemmermann will be sidelined, as will fellow kicker Caleb Sempebwa, likely encouraging an already dangerous TCU offense to attempt more 4th down conversions than normal.

The Sun Devils and Horned Frogs will kick off tonight at 6:00pm Arizona time on Fox from Mountain America Stadium.
