Don't miss Arizona State taking on No. 5 Minnesota-Duluth

It's been two weeks since the Sun Devils (7-8-1, 3-4-1 NCHC) took to the ice, but at long last, the boys will be back in action this weekend in Duluth taking on the No. 5 ranked Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs (13-5-0, 6-4-0 NCHC).

This weekend's series marks a homecoming of sorts as Cullen Potter, Bennett Schimek, Cruz Lucius, and Tucker Ness all hail from the State of Hockey.

Arizona State enters this series winners of three of their last four games and in 5th place in the NCHC with 10 points in conference play, leading a very narrow bottom half of the conference. Just 5 points separate the Sun Devils from 9th place Miami and elimination from the NCHC tournament in March. Minnesota-Duluth on the other hand sits in 3rd place with 18 points in an equally tight top half, three points behind conference-leading Denver (21 points) and one point ahead of defending conference and national champion Western Michigan (17 points) for the final home ice spot in the NCHC tournament.

The Bulldogs have hit a couple bumps recently, splitting their two most recent series at Colorado College and at Western Michigan with overtime losses on Saturday both weekends. The friendly confines of home ice will be a welcome atmosphere as they look to challenge the Pioneers atop the conference leaderboard.
