The injury to starting quarterback Sam Leavitt has shaken faith in the Sun Devil faithful as they take on Utah on the road in Salt Lake City, and that doubt has been reflected by college football pundits across the country.

All four main hosts on College Gameday this morning picked Utah to defeat the Sun Devils at home, with only guest picker Sabrina Ionescu showing faith in the Sun Devils to pull off the upset.

The Sun Devils are no strangers to being underestimated, having been doubted for most of last season even leading up to the Peach Bowl against Texas. Backup quarterback Jeff Simms will be in for a challenge against a Utah defense that is ranked 24th nationally, giving up 300.4 yards per game, including 159.6 passing yards per game (19th nationally).

The weather will be a determining factor for both teams as the temperature at kickoff will plummet to 54 degrees at kickoff, with thunderstorms in the forecast throughout the night. The Sun Devils can prove the doubters wrong with their strong running game and timely passing from Simms.

The Sun Devils and Utes will kick off from Rice-Eccles Stadium at 7:15pm Arizona time on ESPN with Dave Flemming and Brock Osweiler in the booth. Tim Healey and Jeff Van Raaphorst will have the radio call on Arizona Sports 98.7 FM.
