Arizona State running back Cam Skattebo is nowhere to be found in any serious mock drafts. However, he's starting to raise some eyebrows in Indianapolis at the NFL Scouting Combine.
The 23-year-old is participating in drills but while most fans are waiting to see him show off his skills in the 40-yard dash and the bench press, he's making it known he should be taken as a serious top prospect at his position in all aspects.
Skattebo logged an insane 39.50 inches on the vertical jump test, good for a tie for second place amongst all running backs (14th among all prospects).

Cam Skattebo is surprising scouts at the NFL Combine
Coming in at just five-foot-nine, Skattebo is considered small for his position but his 2024 highlights in Tempe show that actually benefits him. His low center of gravity allows him to stay balanced when he's hit and his legs just don't stop moving which helps him earn significantly more extra yardage after contact.
Skattebo was given a 98 score in production which ranks him second all running backs. His athleticism score (73) keeps him in the top 20 but he's still the second-best overall rusher at the combine.
It's a mystery why guys like ESPN's Mel Kiper don't value him higher on their draft boards but it seems inevitable that Skattebo is going to rocket up rankings and be selected higher than most would've thought on draft night.
