Arizona State running back Cam Skattebo has been officially announced as a participant at the 2025 Reese's Senior Bowl, held as an all-star game of sorts for college football stars.
Bowl organizers made the revelation in a post on X Thursday, promoting the Sun Devil rusher's participation in the Mobile, Alabama-based game.
Skattebo is just the sixth ASU player to accept an invitation to the prestigious college all-star showcase since 2020. He joins Nesta Jade Silvera (2023), Rachaad White (2022), Frank Darby (2021), Eno Benjamin (2020) and Brandon Aiyuk (2020) on the program's the illustrious list.
Skattebo's Heisman-worthy season will have NFL scouts paying attention
Even with 2,074 all purpose yards and 22 touchdowns this season, Skattebo fell just short of receiving an invitation to New York City as a Heisman Trophy finalist. He finished fifth in the voting but that didn't keep the national spotlight off of him.
Skattebo will help lead Big 12 champion ASU into its first-ever College Football Playoff appearance as it awaits Texas or Clemson in the quarterfinal at the Peach Bowl in Atlanta, Georgia. Any NFL scouts that weren't paying attention before will certainly be watching then.
Even if the team falls short there, Skattebo has the Senior Bowl as one final chance to impress those who will be advising the teams that could potentially draft him in April.
So far, no mock drafts have included Skattebo but that's mostly because pundits have only predicted the first round. It's hard to think he won't be mocked any lower than round three at worst after the year he's had.
Regardless, to even get an invite to the Senior Bowl is an honor and Skattebo is well deserving of it. Fans will want to mark their calendars for Feb. 1 and tune in to NFL Network at 2:30pm ET to catch a glimpse of Skattebo representing the Sun Devils and showing off his wicked talents.
