The Big 12 is planning to be the first conference to copy the ACC and jump on the massively popular move that conference made this season to promote transparency with their football officiating processes, per a report:

For those unfamiliar, the ACC adopted a new practice this season for their instant replays. It involved broadcasting the audio and video between officials and the replay expers they communicate with during the replay, offering exciting insight into how the officials go about confirming or overturning a call.

The move from the ACC was almost universally praised, as it helped to ensure a certain level of transparency in the way the referees made impactful decisions during a game. And now, it seems, the Big 12 is planning to copy the move.

This is sure to be a popular move among fans of every Big 12 school, but especially with Arizona State. Sun Devil fans can no doubt conjure up plenty of instances where they would've loved to get a peek inside the replay booth when a certain controversial call was made, with the Peach Bowl probably slotting in right near the top of the list.

This is a welcome move, and one that will certainly add a new dynamic to watching Arizona State's games next season.
