What was feared as a possibility coming out of last week's win became a reality when the initial injury report was released on Wednesday night.

Big 12 leading receiver Jordyn Tyson will be out tomorrow after sustaining a hamstring injury early in the second half against Texas Tech. The passing game has flowed primarily through Tyson this season, but the emergence of Jaren Hamilton (3 catches for 101 yards) offers some promise that he can step up into the WR1 role in Tyson's absence. Chamon Metayer and Cameron Harpole both saw a steady workload last week as well, look for them to be worked in to the attack with short underneath routes.

Other absences of note for the Sun Devils, Kyson Brown and Xavion Alford remain out for the foreseeable future with undisclosed injuries. Raleek Brown will be the featured back, though against Houston's defense, don't expect the running game to be a game-changing factor.

Defensively, Prince Dorbah is listed as doubtful, Jordan Crook, Ghost Rowser and Boogie Wilson listed as questionable. Arizona State's defense stepped up in a major way last week, and will bring the "next man up" mentality once again.

Sam Leavitt remains probable this week, and while not as mobile as usual with his lower leg injury, posted his first 300 yard passing game of the season last week.

On the Houston side of the ball, their injuries are limited to depth players with wide receiver Stephon Johnson and running back Stacy Sneed listed as out. Houston's key players remain off the injury report, offering the Cougars the same grind it out offensive style that has led them to their 6-1 record to open the season.

Arizona State and Houston will kick off from Mountain America Stadium at 5pm tomorrow on ESPN2.
