Arizona State returns to the home turf of Mountain America Stadium on Saturday coming off a huge win at Iowa State two weeks ago having had a bye week to get key players back to full health.
That being said, 16 Sun Devils have been ruled out for this week's matchup with the Mountaineers. It's already well established that Sam Leavitt will be out for the rest of the season, leaving the door open for Jeff Sims to follow up his incredible performance in Ames. Jordyn Tyson has also been ruled out for this week, setting up the possibility of a return to action next week at Colorado. Kyson Brown will miss another game, not seeing the field since September 26th against TCU.
The Devils did get positive news on the injury front as Prince Dorbah will return to the field after missing the last two games, bolstering the defense against a West Virginia offense that has outperformed their view on the depth chart.
For the Mountaineers, they will be sticking with true freshman Scotty Fox Jr. at quarterback. Jaylen Henderson looked to be on the mend and possibly ready to dress but was ruled out this week. Without the legs of Henderson, the Sun Devil defense will need to turn their focus to redshirt freshman Diore Hubbard out of the backfield. Sophomore defensive back Nick Taylor will also be off the field, helping to open up the passing opportunities for Sims.
Kickoff for West Virginia at Arizona State from Mountain America Stadium will be at 11am Arizona time on TNT and HBO Max (subscription required).
