Two teams headed in different directions meet Saturday night at Desert Financial Arena.

Arizona State (12-12 overall, 3-10 Big 12) has lost four in a row and nine of its past 11 games, while TCU (13-11, 6-7) enters the game having won three of its last four.

The Horned Frogs survived a scare from Oklahoma State on Wednesday night when sophomore guard Vasean Allette hit an improbable last-second 3-pointer to steal a 73-72 home victory.

TCU is 5-2 at home but has struggled on the road this season, going 1-6 with the lone win coming at Baylor on Jan. 19.

Tonight's matchup provides the best opportunity for the Sun Devils to snap their second four-game losing streak of the Big 12 season. ASU ended the previous skid with a 65-57 victory at then-No. 23 West Virginia but since have won just one game (70-68 at Colorado on Jan. 28).

ASU is expected to be without freshman phenom Jayden Quaintance, who suffered an ankle sprain just nine minutes into the Sun Devils' 73-86 loss at Oklahoma State on Feb. 9.

Quaintance, who leads the Big 12 in blocks (2.8) and ranks fourth in rebounds (8.2) per game, sat out ASU's 111-106 double-overtime loss to No. 12 Texas Tech on Wednesday night.

Senior swingman BJ Freeman leads the Sun Devils' balanced scoring attack at 13.2 points per game. Senior guard Alston Mason (12.4), senior forward Basheer Jihad (12.1), freshman guard Joson Sanon (11.4) and senior guard Adam Miller (10.8) also boast double-digit scoring averages.

Senior guard Noah Reynolds is TCU's top scorer, averaging 13 points per game, while Allette adds 11.4 points and 4.8 rebounds per game.

Former Sun Devil Frankie Collins also is on TCU's roster but broke his foot during the Horned Frogs' 83-74 loss at Vanderbilt on Dec. 8 and was ruled out for the season. At the time, Collins was leading TCU in points (11.2), assists (4.4) and steals (1.9) per game.
