As a lot of us are excited that it is finally game week for ASU football, a lot of things are happening in the valley. ASU volleyball, cross country, and even NIL deals add to the excitement.

ASU Volleyball Gears Up for the Season

Tonight kicks off a weekend of games to start the ASU volleyball season. The Sun Devils will be on the road facing Northern Iowa at 4:00 p.m. MST. After that, they will be competing in the State Farm Volleyball Showcase against the No. 2 and defending national champions Penn State on Sunday, then No. 3 Pitt on Monday.

It’s a tough schedule to open up with, but the No. 13 Sun Devil volleyball team will be hoping to end Labor Day weekend with some wins.

ASU Cross Country Starting Up

Sun Devil cross country will open the 2025 season at the George Kyte Classic on Saturday, August 30. The race will be held at Buffalo Park in Flagstaff, Arizona. This will mark the debut of first-year coach Adam Meyer.

The men will begin at 1:30 p.m. MST, while the women start at 2:30 p.m. MST.

Leavitt and Tyson Sign with Adidas

Right before the first game of the season for ASU football, quarterback Sam Leavitt and wide receiver Jordyn Tyson have each signed NIL deals with Adidas. This adds another layer of recognition for the Sun Devils and this elite duo.

1 Day Until Sun Devil Football

Football season is finally here, with just 1 day to go until the Sun Devils take the field. ASU opens at home against NAU on August 30 and it is a sellout for the first time since 1998. The Sun Devils will be kicking off their second season in the Big 12.

The storm has been brewing this week.
