Arizona State football was the talk of the valley in 2024. Head coach Kenny Dillingham helped lead the team to a Big 12 Championship and a New Years Six Bowl appearance for the first time since 1997.
That resurgence in year two of his tenure caught the eye of not only ASU fans that had left the program for dead but also the entire college football world. In fact, CBS Sports' Josh Pate declared the Sun Devils "America's Team," borrowing the popular moniker reserved for the NFL's Dallas Cowboys.
Last year's success saw ASU fill Mountain America Stadium several times over just a year removed from severely struggling to fill just a single section due to the team's poor play. Now the team has sold out it's premium seating plans for the first time since the stadium completed renovations in 2018.
ASU football offers sick seating upgrade at Mountain America Stadium
Per Sun Devil Source's Chris Karpman, the program is introducing 12 new four-person boxes at field level in the North endzone, directly to the right of the Pat Tillman statue that players touch on their way out of the locker room.
"As we continue to evolve and enhance the fan experience, we are excited to offer new opportunities for our fans to enjoy our home football games," ASU deputy athletics director Lisa Young said in a statement. "We know premium spaces are in high demand, and in this case, our new field-level seating options place them close to the action, paired with premium amenities. We are hyper-focused on our commitment to innovate and respond to the energy and excitement from our incredible Sun Devil community."
Per Karpman, some boxes have already been sold and the program is targeting fans on the waitlist for other premium options to sell the rest. The seats will be under a shade covering, so fans won't have to worry about the desert heat in those early September games.
You have to be prepared to shell out some serious cash for those seats, however. Each goes for $5,000 and are sold a set of four, so $20,000 total. Only true Sun Devil fans need apply.
