After starting out 3-0, sweeping Omaha in their first series of the new year, Arizona State is lining up for their first midweek game of the new season too.
They'll host UConn tonight, and it's a very favorable matchup. The Huskies are 0-3 to start, having allowed 7+ runs in each of their three games while scoring combined runs so far this year.
This game will also feature the Sun Devil debut for starting pitcher Kole Klecker. The local product transferred in this offseason from TCU with much fanfare. Arizona State is starting him out as their midweek man, though there is quiet optimism he can become part of the weekend rotation by the time conference play starts.
