Day Two of the Briann January Classic is here, and with it comes a chance for the Sun Devils to make history.
Friday night saw Arizona State beat McNeese State 57-47, improving to 9-0. That ties this team for the best start in program history, but a win this afternoon would close out the Briann January Classic in style: with a record-breaking 10-0 start to the season.
Standing in their way is San Francisco. The Dons are 6-2 and have won five in a row, including a 68-45 victory over Nevada yesterday. San Francisco has not historically been a great program - they finished with a losing record last year, snapping a streak of three straight WNIT appearances - but they've looked impressive so far this year.
In short, Arizona State will have their work cut out for them if they want to set a program record today.
