Arizona State has enjoyed a nice three days of rest after storming out of the gates to start their 2025 season. They swept Ohio State over the weekend and beat Austin Peay in a solo contest on Monday to reach an impressive 4-0.

Now, they return to the diamond for the first in a three game series against Oral Roberts. The Golden Eagles, visiting the Valley from Tulsa, Oklahoma, have become a mainstay of college baseball under current head coach Ryan Folmar.

Oral Roberts is coming off three straight NCAA Tournament appearances, including a 2023 season that saw them reach the College World Series for the first time since 1978. In Folmar's 12 seasons leading the Golden Eagles, he's reached the tournament seven times and advanced to the regional round or farther every year.

Oral Roberts comes into this game 3-0, having swept Arkansas-Pine Bluff over the weekend in a series that featured an opening day doubleheader. In that back-to-back action, they won 3-2 and 3-0 before the bats exploded on Saturday, sweeping the series with a dominant 19-0 victory that ended in seven innings.

Now they're going on the road to face the Sun Devils, who match up well. Arizona State has one of the most explosive offenses in the nation, with four players hitting home runs already and four players with at least four RBI on the year. Made even more impressive is the fact that several big names, such as Jacob Tobias, Nu'u Contrades, and Kyle Walker, have been inconsistent at the plate to start.

This promises to be a really good series, and it all starts tonight. Make sure you catch the series opener, which is sure to be action-packed.
