It's finally here. The 2025-26 college football season is underway and Arizona State will get its campaign started on Saturday against Northern Arizona. The team will be looking to get off to a good start and pick up where it left off from last year's success.
Head coach Kenny Dillingham got students hyped up at Thursday night's pep rally, asking them to show up and break the single-game student attendance record of 14,084. ASU announced the same day that Saturday's home opener against the Lumberjacks was officially as sellout, the first the program has seen for an opener since the 1998 season.

“Yeah, I hope it's like last year. I hope there's a true advantage. I hope our guys run out of the tunnel and they're like, ‘Holy cow, there's 14,000 students,'" Dillingham told reporters Thursday.
Saturday's matchup is highly favorable to the Sun Devils. NAU may be ranked No. 13 in the FCS but ASU has a clear size advantage and beneficial talent gap. It would take nothing short of a miracle for the Lumberjacks to win.
Dillingham said he's feeling "the exact same" as he did entering Week 1 last year and doesn't want to lose focus just because of previous success.
"You live in a constant state of paranoia. You live in a constant state of 'Am I doing enough?' There's not a peak to this thing. You just be your very best every day," he said.
