Arizona State baseball will be partaking in the first ever home Big 12 series in program history this weekend. Friday marks game one of a three-game series with conference foe Kansas (17-4) in the valley.
The team is expecting a large turnout but to further incentivize fans showing up for this crucial tilt on the diamond, ASU is giving away school-branded Hawaiian shirts to the first 250 people through the turnstiles on Friday.

The Sun Devils (14-7) are coming off a harsh 6-3 loss to former Pac-12 rival USC (now in the Big Ten) on Tuesday. They'll be looking to reignite their bats that went cold after putting up 40 runs across three games against TCU.
Head coach Willie Bloomquist will need his pitching staff to step up after giving up nine hits to the Trojans. But the bats could be heading into a favorable matchup, especially since the team is 11-4 at home so far this season. Kansas has given up 21 runs over its last three games, two of which it lost.
The Jayhawks are 9-3 in the month of March but have only played six games against Power Conference opponents in that same span (3-3). Fans may have seen on SportsCenter that the team traveled up to Minneapolis to play the University of Minnesota where it mercy-ruled the Golden Gophers 29-1 in seven innings on March 12.
Kansas unleashed back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back home runs (five, count 'em, five home runs in a row) in the third inning, tying an NCAA Division I record with three other programs (1992 Centenary, 1998 Eastern Illinois and 2006 South Carolina).
Kansas hit five straight home runs against Minnesota, tying the NCAA DI record.

Only three other teams in NCAA DI history have accomplished it:
2006: South Carolina
1998: Eastern Illinois
1992: Centenary (LA)

ASU will attempt to stay on the right side of history this weekend and hope the Jayhawks have used up all their runs for the remainder of the month (or at least the next three days).
