Arizona State baseball is ranked for the first time this season, cracking the Top 25 after sweeping Utah over the weekend. The No. 24 Sun Devils scored 34 total runs against the Utes, bombarding their pitchers in Salt Lake City and entering the week in second place in the Big 12 standings.

The team trails just Kansas State in the conference and both the Wildcats and Sun Devils joined the national rankings while Arizona and Kansas dropped out.
Next up is a brief mid-week tilt with Cal State Fullerton at home which, despite its 13-14 record, could be a tougher out than it appears. The Titans are 8-2 in their last ten games, albeit against non-power conference foes. They've scored six or more runs and given up two or less in three of their last four contests.
ASU has an all-time record of 18-15 against Cal State Fullerton, dropping the teams' most recent entanglement in 2024 by an embarrassing 14-4 score line. That being said, the program is 8-2 against the Titans in their last nine meetings with both losses coming within the last three seasons.
The Devils will be looking to stay on track and extend their winning streak to four games for the third time this season. They're longest streak to date was five in a row from March 2-9.
