This season didn't end the way Arizona State would've liked, just missing out on the Big 12 championship game and losing to bitter rival Arizona to close out the regular season. But there's still one game left to be played.
The Sun Devils qualified for a bowl game a while back, but it was unclear which bowl game they'd be going to. Now, though, we have some clarity:

Arizona State will be heading down to El Paso to play in the Sun Bowl against a yet-to-be-decided ACC team. The ACC holds its championship game later today, between No. 17 Virginia and unranked Duke. That game's outcome, and subsequent College Football Playoff decisions, will help cement who the Sun Devils will face.
That gives Arizona State nearly a full month to plan for their final game of the 2025 season, as the Sun Bowl will be played on New Year's Eve. This will mark the eighth time the Sun Devils have gone to the game, tying them for the second-most appearances in the Sun Bowl. Arizona State is 4-2-1 so far.
It will be interesting to see who they'll face and which players will suit up for the game, as some will prefer to focus on draft preparation or exploring the transfer portal. Stay tuned for updates.
