Yesterday, Arizona State got back in on the transfer portal action with three new additions, all coming in the trenches. On Monday, Kenny Dillingham continued to add new talent to the roster, starting with Alabama wide receiver Jaren Hamilton.

A Florida native, Hamilton was a highly-regarded 4-star prospect two classes ago. Ranked as the 35th best receiver in the nation and a Top 50 prospect in the talent-rich state of Florida, Hamilton committed to Alabama and chose to remain with the Crimson Tide after Nick Saban's retirement.

Hamilton redshirted his first year on campus and saw very little playing time this past year, Alabama's first with Kalen DeBoer as head coach. He played a total of 25 offensive snaps in two of Alabama's non-conference games this year and later played five snaps in the bowl game against Michigan. In those limited snaps, Hamilton saw two targets but has yet to catch a pass.

Listed at 6'1" and 195 pounds, Hamilton was a two-sport athlete in high school, starring in track as a long distance runner. That kind of background usually portends a high development ceiling, and Hamilton's play style profiles as a lethal deep threat.

Hamilton comes to Arizona State with three years of eligibility remaining and joins a receiver room that's in flux. Jordyn Tyson is cemented as the top dog, but the Sun Devils are losing several players from that group.

Fresno State receiver Jalen Moss transferred in December, and he projects to start alongside Tyson and the returning Malik McClain, who used a redshirt this season. Hamilton is the Sun Devils' third receiver transfer alongside Moss and Clemson transfer Noble Johnson, who also has multiple years of eligibility remaining.

Dillingham wanted to land three transfer receivers this offseason, and he's now done it. Hamilton and Johnson profile as long term options with high upside who should see some action in 2025 while learning from receivers coach Hines Ward.
