Sports fans who believe a 5 1/2-hour pregame show is a little excessive can catch a big game for Arizona State before the big game Sunday.

The Sun Devils (12-10 overall, 3-8 Big 12) are headed to Stillwater, Oklahoma, for the first time in 30 years in hopes of snapping their two-game losing streak with a matchup against Oklahoma State (11-11, 3-8).

It's the only Big 12 game being played Sunday and tips off at noon local Arizona time (MST) — an hour after FOX begins its prolonged pregame show for Super Bowl 59.

The Cowboys are 2-0 against the Sun Devils in Stillwater, though the teams haven't played there since 1995. OSU also leads the all-time series 5-3.

Both teams have been hovering near the bottom of the Big 12 standings and view the matchup as an excellent opportunity to get back on the winning track.

The Sun Devils have lost two in a row and five of their last seven, while the Cowboys have dropped four of their past five games.

Oklahoma State has been tough at home, however, posting a 7-2 overall record and a 3-2 mark in the Big 12 when playing at Gallagher-Iba Arena. The Cowboys average nearly 13 points more at home (77.4) than on the road (64.5).

Arizona State, meanwhile, has played better on the road or neutral sites (7-5) than on its home court (5-5).

BJ Freeman leads ASU's balanced offense with 12.9 points per game. The 6-foot-6 senior swingman is one of five Sun Devils with double-digit scoring averages this season, followed by 6-9 senior forward Basheer Jihad (12.5), 6-2 senior guard Alston Mason (11.7), 6-5 freshman guard Joson Sanon (11.2) and 6-3 senior guard Adam Miller (10.3).

Jayden Quaintance, a 6-9 forward, adds 9.8 points per game while leading the Big 12 and ranking third nationally with 2.9 blocked shots per game. The 17-year-old freshman phenom also leads ASU and ranks third in the Big 12 in rebounding with 8.5 per game.

Oklahoma State is hoping to bounce back from its 72-63 loss at No. 5 Houston on Tuesday. The Cowboys play a fast and physical brand of basketball under first-year head coach Steve Lutz, relying on their lockdown half-court defense, and regularly getting to the rim and out on transition.

That attacking style of play often results in the Cowboys going to the free throw line, where they score 24.9% of their points — fifth-highest in the nation. OSU leads the Big 12 and ranks in the top 15 nationally in free throw makes (17.5) and attempts (24.4).

Marchelus Avery is the Cowboys' leading scorer, averaging 12.6 points per game while coming off the bench, while fellow senior forward Abou Ousmane adds 12 points and a team-leading 5.9 rebounds per game. Guard Bryce Thompson, a grad student, chips in with 11.8 points per game.

Junior guard Arturo Dean is the NCAA's career leader in steals per game (2.74) on an OSU defense that ranks second in the Big 12 in steals (8.5) and third in forced turnovers (14.4).
