After Tuesday night's mercy rule win against Grand Canyon, the Devils are back at it for the start of the final series of the regular season against Oklahoma State.

Entering this weekend's series on a three game winning streak, the Devils sit alone in 2nd place in the Big 12 Conference, two games behind conference leading West Virginia in the standings and with a shot at the regular season title still in play.

A sweep of the Cowboys plus a Jayhawks sweep of the Mountaineers will clinch the regular season title and the #1 overall seed in the Big 12 Conference tournament starting next week in Arlington. Since the Mountaineers had two games postponed and left unplayed, the seeding will be based on conference winning percentage.

While fans will certainly be scoreboard watching and hoping for the best, the task at hand from O'Brate Stadium is highest priority for Willie Bloomquist's boys. A series win over the Cowboys will assure the Devils of the #2 seed in the tournament and a first round bye.

After entering the season as the preseason favorite to win the conference, the Cowboys have had an up and down season. Don't let the 24-22 record fool you though. The Cowboys are 15-6 at home this season, winning their last 5 games in Stillwater.

Their RPI of 52 won't be enough to get an at-large bid, but make no mistake. Josh Holliday's team is more than capable of pulling off a surprise and riding a hot streak through the conference tournament.

Arizona State on the other hand enters with an RPI of 41 after Tuesday night's win. Currently projected as a #3 seed in the Los Angeles Regional according to Baseball America, they look to be all but assured of a bid to the NCAA tournament. As long as the bats made it on the plane to Stillwater, the Devils should be able to improve upon their 9-8 road record entering tonight.
