Molly Miller's Sun Devil squad closed out 2025 with nothing but wins. Sitting at 15-0, Arizona State gutted out a nail-biter over Utah in their first road Big 12 game of the season. The narrow win makes today's game all the more meaningful.
Miller already achieved the program record for best start to a year - that happened way back when this team went 10-0 - but a win over BYU would break the program record for longest win streak. Of course, the Cougars won't go down without a fight.
Coming into this game at 12-2, BYU has been a force all year. They started 8-0 before dropping their first game of the year to No. 17 Vanderbilt in the US Virgin Islands Paradise Jam. They're now coming off their second loss of the year, falling to No. 8 TCU, one of four Big 12 teams that remains undefeated.
Arizona State is, of course, one of the others. Yet they're the only one of the bunch to not be ranked yet, finishing seventh in the Receiving Votes category of the latest poll. Is that a sign of how vulnerable the Sun Devils might be, or are they being overlooked and the Cougars are about to find out?
