Going into Friday's opener in Waco, Arizona State was riding a five-game win streak. It was looking like that would become six, until it fell apart.

ASU dropped game one 7-4, and I wish we could be more suprised on how it happened.

Thanks to a strong start from Ben Jacobs and two home runs in the sixth inning, the Sun Devils were in control of the game halfway through. However, a terrible seventh inning that featured three defensive mishaps and yet another collapse by the bullpen changed the course of events. After giving up six runs and failing to score the rest of the night, ASU's hopes of surviving the series are under threat as they head into game 2.
