Sun Devil football is back, as Kenny Dillingham kicked off spring ball with his first practice on Tuesday. While Arizona State is looking to find some new stars on their roster for 2025, they also landed a new coach, and it's a sneaky good addition:

The Sun Devils have hired John Wozniak to be a senior offensive analyst. Wozniak comes to Tempe after eight seasons coaching running backs a Oklahoma State.

Wozniak comes with a sterling reputation. During his time in Stillwater, he coached players like Chuba Hubbard and Justice Hill, both of whom are playing on Sundays now, as well as Ollie Gordon, who won the Doak Walker award in 2023 while being named the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year.

Wozniak became a trusted confidant for Oklahoma State head coach Mike Gundy, the second-longest tenured head coach in college football, and built a track record as one of the program's top recruiters. He is credited with landing four 4-star prospects in his time there, including two in the Top 250 nationally. He has strong ties in both Texas and Oklahoma.

Prior to Oklahoma State, Wozniak coached wide receivers and special teams at Southern Miss under head coach Todd Monken, currently the Ravens offensive coordinator in the NFL. His first year at Southern Miss overlapped with offensive coordinator Marcus Arroyo, who now holds the same position in Tempe.

Wozniak also has strong ties to Les Miles, having worked for the national champion head coach in three separate stints at Oklahoma State and LSU. Additionally, he spent a season as a special teams analyst on Nick Saban's staff.

All in all, Wozniak is an exceptional addition to this staff. As an analyst, he won't be playing a heavy hand in game planning or recruiting, but his breadth of experience and connections on the recruiting trail will open up doors for the Arizona State staff as they work to build on their magical 2024 season.
