Yesterday's legend in our Spotlight Series in Ron Pritchard certainly had all the accolades and then some for his football career. With 51 days until football season, we take a look at the often overlooked offensive line and celebrate the career of Grey Ruegamer.

A three sport athlete at Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas, Grey came to Arizona State as a three year letterman in football and track and field, as well as a two year letterman in wrestling. What head coach Bruce Snyder gained was a hard-nosed player focused on continual improvement and consistent performance.

As a freshman in 1995, Grey set the bar for himself by earning Honorable Mention All-Pac-10 honors. Two years later, he followed that up by earning First Team All-Pac-10 honors, a feat he accomplished in 1997 and 1998.

Additionally, Grey was named one of the team captains for the 1998 season. He was also a selection for the Playboy All-All American team, and was invited to play in the East-West Shrine game that same season.

The Miami Dolphins selected Grey in the third round (72nd overall) in the 1999 NFL Draft. Over a 10 year career with the Dolphins, Pittsburgh Steelers, New England Patriots, Green Bay Packers, and New York Giants, Grey appeared in 124 games, making 17 starts. He was a two-time Super Bowl winner, winning rings with the Patriots in Super Bowl XXXVI and the Giants in Super Bowl XLII.

After his playing days ended, Grey has been unable to resist staying in football. He was on the staff at the University of Washington as an assistant strength and conditioning coach from 2009-2010 and again in 2013, and currently serves as the director of player engagement with the Green Bay Packers, a role he has been in since 2017.

Grey was inducted into the Sun Devil Hall of Fame in the 2014 class, earning this Sun Devil For Life today's spot in our Spotlight Series.
