2020 ASU Draft Class
Another first-round receiver from ASU! Brandon Aiyuk was amazing his senior season at ASU with almost 1,200 yards and 8 touchdowns that really impressed NFL scouts. He was selected 25th overall by the San Francisco 49ers in the 2020 draft.
In his two seasons with the 49ers, Aiyuk has grown increasingly important to the success of Kyle Shannahan’s offense. Since 2020, he has caught 116 passes for 1,574 yards and 10 touchdowns.
If Deebo Samuel indeed does leave the team this offseason, the role for Aiyuk should grow exponentially. His size, 6-foot, 200 pounds, makes him a viable No. 1 or No. 2 option for a San Francisco squad that, as always, will be in the hunt for the NFC West title.
The patented Eno Benjamin spin move was a favorite of ASU fans during his three seasons with the team. His college career in Tempe was incredibly impressive with 3,492 yards from scrimmage and 31 total touchdowns.
Most NFL analysts believed Benjamin to be a Day 2 pick. However, he fell all the way to the 222nd spot where he was selected by the Arizona Cardinals.
Plagued by limited playing time in Glendale, Benjamin is apparently impressing coach Kliff Kingsbury and looks set to compete for the No. 2 spot opposite James Conner.
2021 ASU Draft Class
Part of the tradition of ASU wide receivers in the NFL, Frank Darby was selected in the 6th round (187th overall) by the Atlanta Falcons.
Darby saw incredibly limited usage in 2021, but the suspension of top receiver Calvin Ridley could mean that he sees an increased role in 2022. He will have to compete with the likes of Russell Gage, Olamide Zaccheaus, and Kyle Pitts for receptions.
2022 ASU Draft Class
Coming off a massive 1,000 rushing yard/15 rushing touchdown season for ASU, White was picked up by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the 6th round (91st overall) of the 2022 NFL draft.
White’s abilities in both the run and passing game have prompted some to consider him a potential “Deebo Samuel”-esque player that will be a fantasy football star. Watch out for him this season!
Jack Jones started his college career at Pac-12 South Rival USC before transferring to ASU in 2019. After a solid three years at cornerback for the Sun Devils, Jones was picked in the 4th round (121st overall) by Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots.
Reports out of Patriots training camp has indicated that Jones could be competing for a starting role sooner rather than later for the six-time Super Bowl-winning franchise.
A four-year player for ASU, D.J. Davidson was selected by the New York Giants in the 5th round (147th overall) in the 2022 draft.
Impressive for both play and character, Davidson is currently slotted in a backup role to starting Giants defensive tackles, Leonard Williams, Justin Ellis, and Dexter Lawrence. Expect to see him on the field in 2022 in some sort of rotational role.
An ASU cornerback who started opposite Jack Jones, Chase Lucas was selected in the 7th round (237th overall) by the Detroit Lions in 2022.
Going undrafted, linebacker Darien Butler signed with the Las Vegas Raiders.
Undrafted, offensive lineman Kellen Diesch signed with the Miami Dolphins.
Undrafted, center Dohnovan West signed with the San Francisco 49ers joining former teammate Brandon Aiyuk.
Undrafted, tight end Curtis Hodges signed with the Washington Commanders.
