A top-ranked JUCO recruit, Dylan Hall is a defensive lineman from Antelope Valley College in Lancaster, CA.

Hall is a 6-foot-5, 250-pounder who was ranked the No.4 JUCO player at his position and 34th overall by 24/7 Sports. A 3-star recruit coming out of high school, Hall started his career at Boise State before transferring to Antelope Valley College.

The new college free agency era brought on by the NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) absolutely gutted the top half of the Arizona State defense. Only a handful of the top contributors are still on the team going into 2022 making it imperative to bring in some fresh faces.

The draft also did not do any favors for the Sun Devils. First-team All Pac-12 defensive end Tyler Johnson and defensive tackle DJ Davidson both declared for the draft. Johnson went undrafted and signed with the Calgary Stampeders in the Canadian Football League and Davidson was drafted in the 5th round of the NFL Draft to the New York Giants.

Those key departures made it imperative to add talent along the defensive line and the maturity of Hall was certainly a factor in recruiting him to Arizona State.

Hall impressed in his time at AVC and shot up the rankings making him one of the more in-demand JUCO talents. In 2021, he played in 8 games while accounting for 4 sacks and 20 combined tackles.

Primarily used at the edge in both HS and at Antelope Valley, Hall is great at shooting the gap and getting to the quarterback quickly.

Hall had five other Division 1 offers including from Murray State and New Mexico State, but ultimately committed to Arizona State on December 14, 2021, and is currently enrolled.
