5. Colorado Buffaloes (17-11, 8-8 Pac-12) LW: 6

With only one true star, Colorado has hung around all season, giving the Pac-12 a consistent foe residing in the Rockies.

Behind a balanced offensive attack featuring four double-digit scorers and Mr. Do-It-All McKinley Wright IV, the Buffaloes are sitting at sixth in the Pac with just two games to go.

Colorado is coming off a victory against Utah behind a solid performance from sophomore guard Tyler Bey, who scored 17 points and snagged 10 boards. Just like its rival, Colorado has one final homestand as they take on the Los Angeles schools, UCLA and USC, this coming week.

The Buffaloes’ latest victory against Utah gives them an opportunity to finish within the conference’s top four seeds, which means a bye in the Pac-12 Tournament. With a win against UCLA this Thursday, CU can bolster its position and leapfrog into prime position for the bye.

With a player like Wright, the Buffaloes just need good seeding and a chance come tournament time in Sin City.
