8. Oregon Ducks (12-8, 3-4 Pac-12) LW: 5

Oregon has fallen victim to the fact that this season may be a lost cause. The Ducks recently suffered another disappointing three-game stretch where they went 1-2 against Arizona State, Washington and Washington State.

Their sole victory came against the less-than stellar Cougars just a few days ago. The Ducks defeated the Cougs by a 20-point margin, winning 78-58.

Over the past three games, the Ducks have struggled from the floor, shooting just 44 percent as a team and 35 percent from downtown. Meanwhile, opponents are shooting a white-hot 55 percent from the field and a solid 38.5 percent from beyond the 3-point arc.

On the bright side, Louis King has come into his own over the past few weeks. The freshman star is scoring 19 points a game over their last three game stint. His efficiency is remarkable as he’s shot 51 percent from the field and a blistering 47 percent from three.

It’s a shame we didn’t get to see him and Bol Bol play together for a full season.

Despite his individual success, an overall record of 12-8 and 3-4 in conference has left a sour taste in the mouths of the Eugene faithful.

Looking forward, Oregon is set to take on the Mountain schools this coming week. Matchups with Utah and Colorado offer a chance to get back above .500 and supplant themselves back in the Pac-12 race.
