9. Stanford Cardinal (9-9, 2-4 Pac-12) LW: 7

After beginning conference play 0-3, the Stanford Cardinal have been able to bounce back as they have won two of their last three, including one this past weekend

Over the course of Pac-12 play, the Cardinal have showed two very different teams on the court, and this past weekend was no exception.

The first was one most Stanford fans would like to forget, as the team was run out of the gym in an 80-64 loss to Washington.

The second game of the weekend was a much pleasant experience for the Cardinal as they found themselves on the winning end of a 78-66 final score with Washington State.

However, one thing that stayed the same in both of the games was the outstanding play of senior center Josh Sharma. He finished with 17 points on 7-for-9 shooting against the Huskies and 13 points on 5-for-6 shooting against the Cougars.

A positive sign moving forward for Stanford is that the team was able to rally together and find a way to pick up a win with one of the conference’s best players, and Stanford’s leading scorer, KZ Okpala, out with back spasms.

Luckily, he should be back in time to play this upcoming weekend series as the University of Utah Utes and Colorado Buffaloes travel to the Maples Pavilion.

If Okpala is healthy, there is no reason to think the Cardinal shouldn’t walk away from this upcoming homestand 2-0. But in this Pac-12, anything can happen.
