12. California Golden Bears (5-11, 0-4 Pac-12) Last Week: 12

To say it’s been a tough season in Berkeley is an understatement. The Golden Bears dropped their fourth and fifth straight games last week to Arizona State and Arizona.

Adding two more losses brings Cal to n 5-11 record on the season, starting 0-4 in conference play. The Bears were not expected to be anything special coming into this season, but it’s safe to say they were planning on at least competing.

Their last three losses have come by 15 or more points and have personified what it means to be outclassed inside the Pac-12.

Looking on the bright side, however, the Bears do have three nice pieces to develop as they move forward. Justice Sueing (sophomore), Darius McNeill (sophomore) and Paris Austin (junior) are scoring a combined 40.5 points per contest and give the Bears a semblance of a core.

The Bears will have a legitimate shot to grab their first, and potentially only, conference win this Thursday against Washington State in Pullman.
