7. Oregon State Beavers (7-3) LW: 7

The Beavers keep existing, now sitting on a 7-3 record with a firm understanding of how to continue winning games.

While their strength of schedule remains a major reason the good times have prolonged, the stellar play of forward Tres Tinkle and the Thompson brothers shines as the secret behind their success.

The Beavers are 1-2 in their last three, the victory coming by 15 points against Pepperdine. Despite a recent skid, there are still reasons to be excited in Corvallis.

Tinkle is playing the best basketball of his college career. With the OSU star averaging 19.8 points, 8.9 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game, this team’s ceiling expands higher each week.

The emergence of the Thompson brothers, guards Ethan and Stephen, and their offensive capability has allowed for more dynamic play. The duo is combining for 27 points per game and playing stellar defense to command a backcourt that’s lacked an identity in previous seasons.

Up next for OSU is Kent State (8-2) and the Blue Devils. No, not those scary Devils with Zion, Cam and RJ, but the Central Connecticut Blue Devils who stand at 5-6. Take a deep breath Corvallis.
