ASU Football: Who has the edge at each position in Las Vegas Bowl?
By Sam Ficarro
Offensive Line
This game will feature two of the best offensive lines in the country.
Fresno State and Arizona State both rank in the top 20 nationally in sacks allowed with the Bulldogs ranked eighth allowing 12 sacks in 13 games. ASU is ranked 19th having allowed 15 sacks in 12 games.
Bulldogs left tackle Christian Cronk was named to the All-MW First Team with right guard Micah St. Andrew named to the All-MW Second Team.
Sun Devils center Cohl Cabral was named to the All-Pac-12 Second Team with offensive linemen Quinn Bailey and Casey Tucker named honorable mention.
It was a drastic improvement for the Sun Devils this season as Wilkins was left battered at times last season.
This season, Wilkins had a much cleaner pocket allowing him to go through his reads and has reduced the amount of hits he’s taken.
Benjamin’s success on the ground wouldn’t be without this offensive line. Despite Fresno State allowing fewer sacks than ASU, the Sun Devils’ success in the run game gives them the edge.
Advantage: Arizona State
