T-8: Oregon State Beavers (6-1) Last Week: T-9

After picking up their first loss a week ago, the Oregon State Beavers have continued their dominant start to the season with three straight wins.

The three victories over Pennsylvania, Long Beach State, and Missouri State move the Beavers to a record of 6-1, the second-best record in the Pac-12.

While the team currently only sits behind 7-0 Arizona State in the Pac-12 standings, the record does not tell all the story.

Instead, the 6-1 record seems to be in large part due to the level of competition the Beavers have faced. All six teams that OSU has beaten have a combined 20-30 record on the season.

Not even the mark itself truly tells the story, as 11 of the 20 wins came from two teams alone in Old Dominion (5-3) and Pennsylvania (6-2).

While the validity of their win-loss record may be in question, the play of junior Tres Tinkle and senior Stephen Thompson is not. The duo leads the team with a combined 55 assists while also averaging a combined 37 points per game.

The 6-foot-8-inch Tinkle currently leads the team in both points per game and rebounds with 20.7 and 9.7, respectively, with Thompson coming in second at 17 points per game.

OSU will have a chance to continue to prove themselves in the month of December with matchups against Texas A&M (3-4), Pepperdine (5-3), Kent State (7-1), and Central Connecticut State (4-5).
