10. Oregon State Beavers

The good news for Beavers fans is that junior Tres Tinkle is back for another year and he looks to be improving on a sophomore campaign in which he earned a spot on the All-Pac-12 First Team. However, the bad news – Oregon State might not have much more talent to pair with him.

The Beavers are 2-0 on the season with both wins coming at home over the likes of UC Riverside and Wyoming. In the first two contests, Tinkle led the team in points, assists, and rebounds while finishing second in blocks and steals.

Behind Tinkle, guard Stephen Thompson Jr. has been the secondary source of offense in Corvallis. The senior is averaging 17 points per game as well as four rebounds and over three assists.

Last season, Thompson led the team in minutes, playing over 36 per contest. That role will likely extend into the new year to help mask the Beavers’ lack of depth.

With a shortage of resources on the OSU bench, coach Wayne Tinkle will have to rely heavily on Thompson Jr. and his son to play quality minutes if they hope to make any noise in the Pac-12.

Oregon State has one game set for the upcoming week as they travel to the U.S. Virgin Islands for a matchup with Old Dominion on Friday in the U.S. Virgin Islands Paradise Jam.
