5. Michigan State

September 8 is a day Sun Devil fans have awaited for a while: a contest against a Big Ten opponent. The last time Arizona State faced a Big Ten team is when the Sun Devils took down Wisconsin at home in controversial fashion in 2013, and this year, ASU gets to host Michigan State.

MSU had their way with a Pac-12 opponent last year in the Holiday Bowl, crushing Washington State. The Spartans also return one of the Big Ten’s best quarterbacks in Brian Lewerke, and not to mention, one of the best defenses in college football.

MSU is one of the more experienced teams in the Big Ten, so it could be a tough test for ASU, but if nothing else, it will be a character builder.

Will ASU win?: No.
