7. San Diego State

Over the last few years, San Diego State has established itself as one of the premier “group of five” teams as a result of explosive offense and a strong leader in coach Rocky Long.

Although star running back Rashaad Penny was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks, the Aztecs are once again predicted to win the Mountain West.

In spite of this, I expect ASU to come into this early-season matchup with a chip on its shoulder from last year when Penny exposed the Sun Devil defense. Plus, ASU’s new defensive coordinator Danny Gonzales previously worked as the DC on the SDSU staff, making this game even more intriguing.

All things considered, the Aztecs are probably a better team than ASU. With that being said, I expect the Sun Devils to pull off their biggest upset of the year in San Diego.

Will ASU win?: Yes.
