ASU Football: Power ranking every 2018 opponent

2. USC

Last year’s blowout loss to USC is one that killed ASU’s momentum toward the end of the season. Yes, Sam Darnold is no longer behind the center, but the athletes on USC’s roster are exponentially better than those on ASU’s.

J.T. Daniels is expected to make an immediate impact at quarterback, if started immediately, and Stephen Carr is one of the most versatile offensive players in the Pac-12.

Even if the Trojans are not as strong as last year, it’s still unlikely ASU could pull off an upset at the Coliseum.
