3. Stanford

ASU kept close with Stanford in last year’s loss in Palo Alto, but Bryce Love proved to be too much on the ground, rushing for 301 yards and two touchdowns.

Fast forward 10 months and Love enters the season as one of the frontrunners for Heisman. He will single handedly keep Stanford relevant and in the national conversation.

It’s hard to see ASU having any chance against Stanford if Love is on the field. In the air, Stanford returns last year’s starter, K.J. Costello, making Stanford’s offense one of the most volatile in the nation.

While this will be the weakest defense Stanford’s had in a minute, their offense will help the Cardinal cruise past ASU.

Will ASU win?: No.
