1. New Uniform Look?

One of the initial surprises seen before the media festivities was a tweak to ASU’s maroon uniforms.

Both Manny Wilkins and N’Keal Harry showcased the new look in photo sessions done by players of each team in the conference, which included changes to both the jersey and pants.

Instead of the “Arizona State” text that appeared across the chest of last season’s home uniforms, the new jerseys have a more modest design, including an outline of the Arizona state flag stitched within the maroon background.

The state flag can be seen better in an image of N’Keal Harry on the Pac-12 site.

The new threads also sport the players’ numbers on each shoulder pad rather than the lightning bolt-like shapes that appeared on last season’s uniforms.

Here’s an image of those uniforms to compare to the new ones from Wednesday.

The new pants also adopt a less flashy look with a medium-sized maroon text of “Sun Devils” appearing on the thigh instead of last year’s maroon pitchfork logo that embroidered the leg area last season.

The text can be seen better when Wilkins is sitting down in this video tweeted by the team’s football page.

If these changes remain, it’ll be interesting to see which other uniform combinations are released in the coming weeks.
